Project Background
After a very transient career, these homeowners were excited to build their forever home. As lifelong subdivision dwellers, they wanted a home that reflected their lifestyle on their country property. The design that emerged was unlike anything you would find in a traditional neighborhood. The simplistic lines of pole barn homes served as the inspiration, with an emphasis on modern construction and finishes. The final result couldn’t have turned out better.

Project Details
The all metal exterior on this home makes it unique from before you even walk through the front door. The front and back porches total 1,400 square feet. With vaulted ceilings and exposed beams, it’s hard not to visualize yourself sitting on the porch enjoying the sunrises with your morning coffee. The back porch features a beautiful wood burning fireplace and plenty of space for grilling, seating and dining. The interior is a great combination of natural finishes and modern touches. The layout has minimal wasted space with hallways and everything being centered around the kitchen, breakfast room and family room. A main ridge beam anchors the three rooms together beautifully. Just off the kitchen is a large pantry and beverage center. The primary bathroom features 4 windows and vaulted ceilings and was decorated to feel like a spa. Because of the linear design of the home, each room is steps away from a porch and to the outdoors.
